A DUI or DWI arrest starts two separate cases. One is the criminal case, which is slow and which most people spend their first two weeks worrying about. The other runs at the state motor vehicle agency, is about whether you can keep driving, and has a deadline measured in days.

That second case is the one that quietly expires. Not because people are careless, but because nobody told them it existed. The notice they were handed at the roadside looked like paperwork rather than a countdown.

This site was built to close that gap. It answers what happens, when, and in which courtroom, for the state you were actually arrested in.

Every legal figure here comes from the statute it describes and carries a citation you can check. Nothing publishes until a person has read the primary source. Where we have not done that work yet, the page shows nothing rather than an approximation, because a wrong deadline costs someone their license.

That is a slower way to build a directory. It is the only way we were willing to build this one.
